2016 Emmy’s Red Carpet Fashion Hits and Misses

Hits: Best Dressed

Tracee Ellis Ross
Ross went for a sleek and classy look on the red carpet. The star looked gorgeous in an all white, one shoulder gown with a side cut out. Ross wore minimal jewelry, natural make up and a slick back bun. She is definitely best dressed on my list and looked flawless as always!

Padma Lakshmi
Lakshmi dominated the red carpet in a long sleeve, form fitting, sequined gown. The silver ensemble was paired with a bold pink lip that brought the entire look to life. The Top Chef star rocked an effortless ponytail hairstyle that showed off her natural good looks. Well done Padma!

Viola Davis

Davis turned heads on the red carpet with a bold look. The star shined in a fuchsia colored gown. Davis looks drop dead gorgeous as the vibrant color jumps off of the actress’s beautiful chocolate skin. Davis kept her make up and accessories simple while rocking a bold lip and minimal jewelry. Viola is radiant and stands out above everyone else. It must be great to look this good!

Misses: Worst Dressed

Anna Chlumsky
As gorgeous as Chlumsky is, this dress did not do her justice. The star walked the red carpet in a blush colored, off the shoulder gown that stops above the knee and included a long train. The cut and fit of the dress is all wrong. The dress is rounded at the torso and synchs at the thighs. This cut does not give a figure flattering look but rather drowns Chlumsky in a lot of fabric.

Sarah Hyland

The Modern Family star walked the red carpet in a white, strapless top with flower patterns and two long trains falling from both sides of the blouse. The top was paired with black slacks and minimal strappy heels. Although the actress looked gorgeous as always, the look is a bit underwhelming and the cut of the blouse is a bit awkward and is not the most flatting article of clothing.
