Ben and Lauren will be hosting the show and I had a chance to ask them about the new show premiering Sunday, May 7 at 8:00 p.m.
When I asked them about the show, Ben said, “It’s about real life couples, getting married, engaged, vow renewal, and basically all about couples who get married at Disney. Lauren admitted she didn’t know prior to the show that Disney had these spectacular wedding! She added, “They have their own dress line and cakes! It’s a one stop shop.”
Believe it or not, Ben’s parents’ first job was at Disney World! “It was cool to say Disney is a part of my family. I also have extended family that lives outside of Orlando,” Ben shared.
The specials will cover Walt Disney World, The Disney Hawaiian Resort Aulani, the Disney Cruise Line and Proposal Magic Kingdom.
The couple agreed that Eric and Ruby were their favorite couple because their story is unique and impactful. “Eric is in the military and Ruby is patient, supportive and loving. They are really great people.”
Ben admitted his favorite experience was watching the sun come up at Cinderella’s castle with Lauren. “I couldn’t believe I got to experience it with someone I cares so much about.” Cue the “awwwwww!”
Lauren gushed as she said, “If you love love, and you love weddings, and want to see real people get married at Disney, then watch! Every demo can relate!”
We couldn’t let the couple go with out asking about “The Bachelorette’s” newest, Rachel, who will be looking for love this month! When I asked Ben what advice he would give Rachel, he shared, “Be patient and understanding.”
He admitted he would love to sit down with someone and talk about life immediately after “Bachelor,” adding it is, “lots of craziness!” Lauren added she had it rough because she came off the show engaged to a guy who had been dating other women the week before the engagement.
Ben romantically said, “If you really care about that person, keep working and keep fighting.”
Looking forward to the new Freeform show, “Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings,” watching Ben and Lauren’s relation continue to blossom and can’t wait to see Rachel pick her future hubby on “The Bachelorette!”
Tune in to “Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings” Sunday, May 7 at 8:00 p.m.!
