It’s been about 4 years since Bridgit Mendler has released any new music, but this week she has finally graced us with not only a new music video but an announcement of an EP!
Bridgit’s new music video for her song, Atlantis, definitely has a different vibe than her older tunes. The music video was produced by Allie Avital, and opens with the words “Our Love Sleeps with the Fishes.” Bridgit then, along with her girl crew including long time friend and cast mate from “Good Luck Charlie” Samantha Boscarino, enters the scene. That’s where the story unfolds.
“We found a concept that has both dark satirical and heart-aching moments,” Bridgit says about the music video. “I break into my ex’s house and try to recreate our lost love while he is passed out. Even in the midst of fun and light moments in life, my heart is limp as his hand hits my knee while we dance in the kitchen. I’m a huge fan of Allie’s work but in addition to that, she is a smart and warm-hearted person that went above and beyond to make this project what it is.”
I’m beyond excited that Bridgit is finally releasing some more new music with a new sound! I’ve been a huge fan of hers since she released her last album, Hello My Name Is … Her new EP Nemesis has songs of self-assurance and bittersweet relationships. It is said to come out November 18th!
