Cue the fringe, hips, and Pitbull because Latin Night was the theme of Mondays episode of Dancing With The Stars. The stars brought some sizzle and shakes, but we can’t say we’re too surprised. However, as always we had our favorites of the week.
Jana and Gleb
This week my two favorites go to the two Argentine tangos from Jana and Gleb, as well as, Calvin and Lindsey. First up let’s talk about Jana and Gleb. Holly hotness, these two were on fire Monday. Their routine had everything a good Argentine tango should have, sexy facials, incredible chemistry, and precision in every movement. The shower straight out of Flash Dance was just the icing on the cake. The judges agreed with all of my praise. Carri Anna Inaba commented, “Tonight I saw you dancing as if you’re going to take that mirror ball trophy, and if you keep dancing like that you will.” Bruno Tonioli agreed with her shouting, “It was as down and dirty as you could possibly go and I loved every minute of it. Sensational.” The two earned their first perfect score, with a 40 out of 40.

Calvin and Lindsey
Now onto Calvin and Lindsey. This week we saw a much more intense side of Calvin, and I loved every minute of it. With incredible footwork, sky high lifts, and effortless chemistry, these two killed it. It’s also worth mentioning that Calvin showed his sexy side by leading Lindsey like the strong gentleman he is throughout the entire routine. This act, along with the incredible lifts, did not go unnoticed. Bruno Tonioli shouted, “You were leading every single moment tonight, you were the one in charge, it looked sensational, well done.” Carri Anne Inaba could not let those lifts go without some praise saying, “Wow, 23 seasons and we have never seen lifts like that ever.” Although I thought the two were again seriously underscored by the judges, they still received an impressive 37 out of 40.

Ryan and Cheryl
My first honorable mention of the night goes to Ryan and Cheryl with their incredibly fun and energetic salsa. I loved seeing Ryan tap into his Cuban roots and have a smile on his face. My second honorable mention goes to my other favorite pairing, James and Sharna with their flawless and creative Rumba. Julianne Hough gave James one of the biggest compliments of the night saying, “I actually hands down think you are the best male dancer we have ever had on our show.” Wow.
