“Guilt” S1 E2 Recap: American Psycho

After episode two of Freeform’s newest hit, “Guilt,” it’s clear that it will not be shy of twists and turns. The suspects are narrowing down and new suspects are coming into play. Is Grace really a sweet, innocent, heartbroken friend? Or is she truly the “American Pyscho?” One thing is for sure, we can’t wait to find out! At this point in the series, questions keep stacking up and there are many pieces to the puzzle we have yet to put together.

Biggest questions thus far?  How does the prince and his little club of escorts fit into the equation?  So far we have only seen little clips of this prince and the super, sexy mansion, but it’s safe to assume he was more involved with Molly than he would like anyone to know.  Another important component is who was the father of Molly’s child?  It seems like that want us to believe it was the professor, but my money is on Grace’s boyfriend, Luke or Grace’s stepdad, James.

Grace and Natalie’s stepfather, James, comes into play a lot this episode. We learn that there was an incident between Molly and Grace in which Grace gets upset to see James and Molly texting. Which is understandable, because there are many things weird with that situation. He finally admits to Natalie that he did have an affair with Molly. We then come to find out that James lied about where he was the night that Molly was killed and he seems to be looking more like a suspect than ever.

Grace and Molly’s third roommate, Rosie, who also seems to be side-barring as a pimp to the mansion parties, is looking pretty sketchy and up to know good.  Is it possible she knows more than what it seems?  From what we have seen she did not have that great of a relationship with her roommates and now we learn that she is the one who has Molly’s missing phone. We are given a sneak peak at the type of information that the phone has, the only question is what will Rosie do with it? I’ve got a feeling she’ll be offered a lot of money to keep her mouth shut!

GUILT - "#AmericanPsycho" - Damning revelations about Grace Atwood continue to mount on an all-new episode of "Guilt," airing MONDAY, JUNE 20 (9:00 - 10:00 p.m. EDT), on Freeform. (Freeform/Nick Ray) DAISY HEAD, EMILY TREMAINE, BILLY ZANE

The number one suspect still seems to be Grace.  In my opinion, I’m thinking she is innocent.  Gwen, however, doesn’t want to give up.  I do think that Grace and Molly had more issues that she is telling people, but I don’t think it was anything to drive her to kill Molly.  Luke would have more of a motive at this point that Grace would.  The media is ripping Grace a part and it’s only a matter of time before she gets that news that her boyfriend, who she considers the only person in her corner, and her friend were hooking up behind her back.  When that information comes out I think more eyes will be on Luke that ever before.

The episode ends with a major cliffhanger! We know that Molly’s brother, Patrick is back for retaliation.  He has a sense of guilt, no pun intended, for not being there for Molly this last year.  He is taking revenge in his own hands and at this point all eyes are on professor. We see him arrive at the professor’s hideout where he violently attacks him until the professor’s wife comes in with a gun.  At this point you think she is going to defend her husband, but instead, she shoots him! I did not see this one coming. The episode ends with an outside view of the house and another gunshot going off. So we do not yet know the fate of Patrick, or the professor for that matter.

Episode two is done and I’m already hooked on “Guilt.” This is just the type of suspense I needed in my life this summer and I’m loving the performances.
