Interview: Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s Victoria Atkin Dishes Her Killer Role!

Meet your new favorite female badass, Victoria Atkin! She’s the voice behind Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s newest Assassin, Evie Frye. Victoria filled Pop Hearts TV in on what it was like to take on the coveted role saying it’s been a pretty cool experience and she’s received good responses from fans.

She couldn’t be happier about being a part of the video game franchise. Her character has been compared to Lara Croft, a game Victoria had played as a kid, and she always admired the strong will of Lara. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is Victoria’s first time using motion capture and she found it very liberating to live entirely in the imagination.

Working in this very physical role came easy to Victoria, having been active in sports since she was young. She’s trained on the slopes, played football in Canada, knows karate and does yoga regularly. If Evie were to ever get the call to the silver screen (after the Michael Fassbender flick hits theaters and they inevitably order a sequel), Victoria would be honored to join the cast! She thinks Michael is one of the best talents out there and perfect for the franchise. She can’t wait to see the film!

While more people will start to recognize Victoria by her voice, many Brits love Victoria for her role on the popular UK series, Hollyoaks. Victoria broke ground playing transgender teen Jason/Jasmine Costello. At first she was apprehensive taking on this risky role as it had never been done on such a beloved series. It turned out to be the role of a lifetime! She said it really made her step back and see the power of film and how it can touch people’s lives. She met a lot of transgender teens going through similar situations. She was able to open a dialogue about transgenders and even met with Prime Minister David Cameron to discuss the differences between sexuality and gender.

Named “International Star to Watch” by Variety, it’s obvious that Victoria’s success has only just begun. She’s not only an actress, she’s also an accomplished author, her first book, London Love, came out to rave reviews and she’s currently working on her next book. She also just finished shooting a film in New York, completed the audio version of her book and of course Assassin’s Creed Syndicate comes out on PC November 19th.
