Nick and Sonia

Nick and Sonia are in the Dominican Republic and having just the most awkward time ever! They are that couple in high school who are the LAST people you expected to get together and their lovey-doveyness makes you a bit squeamish.

The good news about Nick and Sonia is that are very handsy with each other. They’re kissing each other incessantly and all smiles. Sonia tells Nick during their pillow talk session that she REALLY likes him and super happy with the direction their relationship was going.

Nick says he is happy with the direction their marriage is going. He’s very content with how slow they are taking things. He says he doesn’t want to rush things or take things at a “day 65 pace.” Now what that means… no one knows, and Sonia is NOT happy about it.

She asks him to explain what he means, Nick gets snippy and in a huff leaves the room. Sonia starts crying, defeated and feels as if her husband doesn’t want her. So, that’s how their honeymoon is going thus far!

Heather and Derek

The couple in the most danger of a divorce is clearly Heather and Derek. Nothing about their honeymoon in Puerto Rico is going to plan. Heather is still pissed at Derek about his smoking habits and will not let it go.

Two days into their honeymoon they are screaming, yelling and cussing at each other. It’s during a beautiful and what was meant to be a romantic bike ride that Heather is obviously not into her husband and literally pulls a Lance Armstrong and just flies ahead of Derek on her bike.

They finally sit down one-on-one, Derek points out the elephant in the room. Heather goes to town on him how gross it is that he smokes. She says she would never get involved with someone who smoked, and on and on. Well, a person can only take so much criticism before they crack and that Derek did.

“You clearly did this experiment because what you were doing before wasn’t working for you. You’re unhappy,” Derek says to Heather.

After a few hour hiatus from one another, Derek tells Heather, “If I didn’t want to change I wouldn’t be here today. I’m looking for someone who will bring out the best in me, and I really think we have that.” Any guesses on what Heather’s response is? “You smoke way too much!”

Girl doesn’t have an argument and wants to be angry just to be angry, so Heather have fun with that!

Tom and Lillian

Now onto our last and MOST likable couple Tom and Lillian. If you’ve ever seen a couple so in love it makes you sick, in a good way, it’s Tom and Lillian. The chemistry is there. Their energy together is #GOALS. They are truly in tune with one another.

They are the only couple who has consummated their marriage and that is VERY apparent! Tom and Lillian visit Dunns Rivers Falls in Jamaica. They do a trust fall into the water together and truly embrace every moment of the experiment.

However, this Married At First Sight episode did present Tom and Lillian with their first squabble. Tom admits he’s a minimalist. He believes people buy expensive things to make them feel happy when they truly aren’t. Like buying a nice car. Lo and behold, Lillian just bought a brand new car. Tom saw it and knows about it, and Lillian isn’t pleased about this comment.

“I drive a new car and I have worked hard for everything I’ve ever earned,” Lillian tells Tom through tears. Because Tom is so “in like” with Lillian he quickly retracts his statement and apologizes, and everything goes back to fairytale land!

Our bets are on Tom and Lillian making it past the six weeks!

Next week we see part two of the Honeymoons and things appear to look up for Heather and Derek, but we will have to wait and see. Stay tuned to PopHeartsTV.com for more Married At First Sight coverage!
