Wedding season has officially begun and that means the FYI network debuted its newest season of “Married At First Sight.” The title pretty much explains it all. These people simply get married at first sight. But for those of you trying to wrap your head around the concept, yes, it sounds insane and it is INSANE, but Pop Hearts TV will break it down for you.

Six strangers are paired together by a team of life, sex, spiritual and psychological experts. The couples have six weeks to figure out if they want to stay married or get a divorce.
Six strangers paired together, equals three couples. During the first three seasons, only two couples stayed together. Two out of nine couples lived happily ever after after getting married at first sight!!! May the odds be ever in their favor.
This season brings three new couples: (From left to right/Top to bottom) Tom and Lillian, Heather and Derek, and Nick and Sonia.
The three couples have prepped for their weddings, celebrated their last nights of singledom and finally met face-to-face at the altar. Oh yeah, and learned each other’s names!
After the weddings the couples, their families and friends will celebrate the marriage with a wedding reception, and after the reception means the couples get to go back to a fancy, romantic hotel room by themselves to sleep next to one another. Also, typically on the wedding night the married couples get rather up close and personal with one another, well, not in this case!
Tom and Lillian
Tom and Lillian are by far the most promising couple so far. Their chemistry is electric, the sexual tension is TOTALLY apparent and they are so ga-ga for each other. After their initial kiss at the altar it was hard to see them not kissing. Every shot of Nick and Lillian was them giving each other cute little pecs on the mouth, and they couldn’t keep their hands off of each other. They cuddled up together in their bed, he played with her hair and kissed her on the forehead, which girls know is a HUGE sign of intimacy on a guy’s part, and they appeared to be in pure ecstasy. However, these two lovebirds also did not consummate their marriage on the first night, despite how into each other they appear.
Derek and Heather
Derek and Heather had a rather low key, “marry a stranger and chill” kind of night once they got up to their hotel room. Heather instantly jumped out of her wedding dress and traded it in for her sweatpants and t-shirt. Derek is really cute in the fact that he is a very smiley and happy guy. He was just soaking it all in. Despite their lack of chemistry, Heather and Derek did assume the spooning position when going to bed, but you already know they definitely did not consummate the marriage either.
Nick and Sonia
Nick and Sonia awkwardly stared at each other from across the room and tried to create small talk with one another. Sonia sounded like she was on the verge of tears every time she opened her mouth, and Nick appeared very awkward and uncomfortable. Sonia and Nick admit they did not consummate their marriage on the wedding night, and we’re pretty sure they there was enough room between them in the bed that the Grand Canyon could fit.
The next episode follows the three couples on their honeymoons! Nick and Sonia are going to the Dominican Republic, Tom and Lillian are going to Jamaica, and Heather and Derek are headed to Puerto Rico. There will definitely be love in the air and possibly some storm clouds as well.
