Every week we’ll bring you a few of our favorite songs of the week and what we’re listening to on repeat. But this first week we had to start out with a shout out to our girl, Kelsea Ballerini!
Her single “Love Me Like You Mean It” is the number one song on country radio this week, Mediabase and Billboard Country Airplay charts.
It’s the first time a solo female has landed at #1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in nearly three years. In addition, the last female artist to make her debut with a No. 1 song was Carrie Underwood, in 2006 with “Jesus, Take the Wheel.” Kelsea has taken country (and pop) music by storm and has made her mark on the industry already.
