Fans all over the world, get ready to start voting! The 2016 People’s Choice Awards nominations were announced on Nov. 3 at The Paley Center for Media and the show will be hosted by “Angel From Hell” and “Glee” actress, Jane Lynch, on January 6, 2016.

I was excited to hear this year that they are adding digital categories. After all, social media has grown so much over the years that the show has to include that category if they want to keep up with the times! These categories include: Favorite Social Media Star, Social Media Celebrity, Mobile Game, Video Game, YouTube Star and The DailyMail.com Seriously Popular™ Award.
The Weeknd leads the list of nominees with five noms including “Favorite Male Artist” and “Favorite Album” for Beauty “Behind the Madness.” Selena Gomez isn’t too far behind from the popular musician. She received three nominations: “Favorite Animated Movie Voice,” “Favorite Female Artist,” and “Favorite Pop Artist.” I hope Selly G can take an award home this year, her new album “Revival” is amazing and she deserves it!
For those of you who are obsessed with ABC Family like I am, “Pretty Little Liars” and “The Fosters” are both in the running for “Favorite Cable TV Drama” and Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson and Shay Mitchell are all up for “Favorite Cable TV Actress.”
The other two categories I’ll definitely pay attention to during the show are “Favorite Female Artist” and “Favorite Pop Artist.” Both of these categories are extremely competitive and each nominee totally deserves a win.
