Billboard Music Awards: 7 Performances That SLAYED

The 2016 Billboard Music Awards had an A-list show that didn’t disappoint one bit. Now, the performances of the night were some of the best and rounded a great diverse group of artist that included Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, DNCE, Fifth Harmony, and Madonna. Here are our top 7 performances of the nights in no specific order, but, you GUYS, it was hard! Let us know whom you LOVED in the comment section or Tweet us @PopHeartsTV

Number 7: Britney Spears
Who better to open the BBMA’s show than Britney, Bitch! Britney kicked the show off with an AMAZING 7-minute medley of her greatest hits. She reminded the world why she’s the original Princess of Pop. The ‘Slave 4 U’ breakdance took us back to 2001 and we LOVED it! Give us a second as we book our flight and hotel to Vegas!

The hair flips and the bull-riding guitar got us SO pumped!

Number 6: Fifth Harmony
Now, there are only a few days left until the release of Fifth Harmony’s new album 7/27 and this performance of their MEGA-SMASH hit ‘Work From Home’ got us so HYPED for it. The moves, vocals, and costumes were perfect. This is one of their biggest performance to date and we couldn’t be any more proud of the girls!

We need to get a dance lesson from them ASAP!

Number 5: Nick Jonas & Demi Lovato
Nick Jonas and Demi are hitting the road this summer with their “Future Now Tour” and this was a great teaser of what’s to come. Nick brought Tove Lo and performed his amazing hit single ‘Close’ with some cool looking mirrors. Demi gave us a heavy guitar version of ‘Cool for the Summer’ while sporting a tank supporting the transgender community. We can’t wait to see what other SURPRISES they have in store for their summer tour!

Number 4: Pink
The return of Pink was everything we hoped for and MORE! The goose bump vocals in the intro set the tone for an ELECTRICFLYING performance. Her song ‘Just Like Fire’ which is the theme song for “Alice Through the Looking Glass.” The acrobats and dancing was breath taking. If we loved P!nk before we LOVE her even more now!

We could only WISH to be as COOL as Pink!

Number 3: Justin Bieber
Bieber’s COLORFUL performance was definitely one for the books! He started with his newest single ‘Company’ and finished off with his #1 hit ‘Sorry’ and had everyone at the T-Mobile Arena dancing their hearts out!

Now, really who wasn’t singing or dancing along to this one?

Number 2: Shawn Mendes
Shawn reminded us that if we DREAM big enough anything is POSSIBLE! The Vine star turned Pop sensation performed a very rainy and dark version of ‘Stiches.’ This performance was a nice stripped down version that gave us exactly what we expect from the Pop star!

Don’t we all sing in our rooms when it’s a rainy day out?

Number 1: Madonna’s tribute to Prince
Madonna definitely brought her star power to play tribute to the late Prince. It was an emotional performance that gave us all the CHILLS. It didn’t end there! Stevie Wonder joined the queen of pop on stage and took the special tribute to another level. We’re sure Prince would’ve have been proud to see the amazing performance!

Seeing the T-Mobile Arena light up in purple was definitely a highlight of the night!
