“Pretty Little Liars” S7 E3 Recap: The Talented Mr. Rollins

What do Charlotte, the Amish and Dr. Rollins all have in common? Well read on and see for yourself! SPOILERS AHEAD!

The episode begins with the girls debating if Dr. Rollins and Mary could possibly be working together. And why Elliot would want to do harm to Allison, I mean that is his wife after all, right?

The scene then goes to Allison attacking him in her room at Welby, but of course as always, he finds a way to sedate her and then ultimately bound her to the bed again. How is this even legal?!

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS - "The Talented Mr. Rollins" - The PLLs attempt to rescue Ali from the psychiatric hospital in "The Talented Mr. Rollins," an all-new episode of Freeform's hit original series "Pretty Little Liars," airing TUESDAY, JULY 5 (8:00-9:00 p.m. EDT). When the girl express their concerns to a Dr. Freedman, Elliot seems to be able to cover his tracks and prove that Alison was actually improving. Which we know she isn’t! He is such a creep. How on earth is he always one step ahead. I guess this is why the episode is title “The Talented Mr. Rollins.”

Dr. Rollins tell the girls that they need to stop visiting Ali because they are disturbing her health.

The girls decide to break in to Ali’s house to search for more clues. Aria quickly tried to photograph as much as she can in the house before Dr. Rollins shows up. Aria narrowly escapes.

The later realize that there was a bed and breakfast on his credit card statement. Aria and hannah decided to investigate it further.

During the trip, Hannah goes off on Aria about her asking about Jordan and what went on when she was abducted. Clearly, Hannah does not want to discuss what happened to her. There were two times this episode that Aria tried to talk to Hannah about the situation. Hannah mentions it wasn’t like the dollhouse at all — and how could Aria possibly understand what she was going through?

Also, I hate to bring this up now, but can we discuss Hannah buying a fake engagement ring? What’s up with that?

When Hannah and Aria arrive at the Bed and Breakfast they are met by an Amish girl, about 8-years-old. She tells Hannah she is pretty, then tells them they look like her dolls. The dolls that Charlotte gave her! Wait. WHAT?

The Amish girl tells them that Charlotte and Elliot used to visit the B&B and that she once caught them kissing. They are then whisked away by and elder — but not before Hannah see’s a cow pride and begins to have flashbacks of being electrocuted.

Not a huge plot line, but I want to mention the awkward encounters between Emily and Sabrina this episode. One of which is at Emily’s new bartending job at The Radley. It’s worth noting because I feel like these two might hook-up down the road.

Guess who is back this episode? Yvonne! Yep, Toby’s new fiancé and she is still mad at Spencer by the way for having Toby on Spencer’s wild goose chases!

Seeing how happy Yvonne was made Spencer think about her and Caleb’s relationship. She expresses that he has been distant ever since Hannah’s disappearance. Caleb finally admits that he and Hannah kissed that night– to which obviously Spencer was extremely displeased. Caleb couldn’t even hide the fact he is still in love with Hannah.

When Spencer confronts Hannah about her and Caleb kissing, Hannah says, “Caleb was my past and Jordan is her future.” But really Hannah? Who are you fooling? Not me. That’s for sure!

Later, Spencer and Caleb chat again about the relationship and how when they were in Madrid things began, but while Caleb likes everything about her, she loves him. Tears falling and all, Spencer says she can’t make it work with him. Something tells me this won’t be a clean break, just yet….

While uncovering more evidence from Ali’s house, Emily and Spencer discovers that Dr. Rollins is basically drugging her with a “speed” like drug and with the amount she is being given can cause hallucinations. It’s the proof that he is drugging her to be crazy.

Meanwhile, Dr. Rollin’s tells Ali there is a “change in plans” and takes her for a ride. When the car hits a bump in the  road, Alison uses it to her full potential and whacks Dr. Rollins over the head and narrowly escapes from the car.

During this time, the girls are following a GPS tracker following their every move. When they lose track of them, they quickly find Dr. Rollins when he ends up dead flat on the girls car because he was running and got hit! It was pretty gruesome, but then got darker as we see Ali walk in front of the car in her white hospital gown blowing in the wind seeing Elliot dead. It was a very twisted moment, but very powerful cinematically.

In the previews it looks like the girls are going to try to hide the face that they hit him. Officer Toby seems to be on the case though! Will the girls be home free or back in orange? I guess we will have to see next week! Tweet me your thoughts and predictions!
