This week on Freeform’s “Recovery Road,” Wes receives a phone call from his past. Although it served as an awakening, could it being luring him back in? Plus, Maddie’s mom gets a first hand look at where Maddie has been staying. Let’s jump right on in and get to it!

Shortly after Wes’ flashback of his bad o’ days with girl friend Harper played by Aubrey Peeples, he receives a voicemail from Harper asking for help. Wes talks to Craig and they decide to go help her. However Cynthia suggest that he take Maddie with him on the 12 step call so she can get a first look at an addict in need of help. While Wes thinks it’s a bad idea Craig highly believes she can learn from it.
Back at the house, Trish is excited that she met a lady at the mall whose son is a casting director for Fool House. Let’s be honest, how many of us thought Full House and laughed at the fact that, that series has been long gone and Trish is crazy? I did. But, we learn that this Fool house is a reality show, a show Trish swears she belongs on. Well we will get back to her in a bit, lets go into some drama.
Maddie’s mom Charlotte goes to the house to visit, only to find out her daughter went on a not so appealing “field trip.” Cynthia tries to explain to her that the 12 step call can be very beneficial for Maddie but, Charlotte is the least bit happy and comments about taking Maddie out of Springtime Meadows. Is she wrong? Right? Lets find out.
Craig, Wes, and Maddie arrive to see Harper, and girl is messed up, definitely a mess and not very coherent. When Wes is talking to her, two guys come from another room, threaten Wes and ask him for money. Wes pulls out only a few bucks, the guys are not happy and shove him, Craig steps in and gives them a wad of money and just when we think Wes is in the clear, one of the guys gives him a hard punch in the gut. OUCH! After a while Wes and Craig convince Harper to go back to Springtime Meadows. As Wes and Craig go pack her stuff, Harper and Maddie exchange some words and that is where we find out that Harper didn’t really need help from Wes, she was only helping the guys get their money. Yup, total heart break. Wes is trying to help Harper, which only makes him even sweeter and Harper totally betrays him, not only with the call but she also fleas with the guys.

Lets take a pause and see the update with Trish and her upcoming fame. She is busy filming her every move around the house, when Margarita gives her a reality check on this stupid idea of wanting to be a reality star. Trish expresses that if she is famous they wont take away her daughter. Wise motherly Margarita tells her that she needs to show everyone that she is responsible, and offers Trish a job as a waitress at her restaurant. Okay, did you guys get all warm and fuzzy inside too?
In case you were wondering. Maddie’s mom has been at the house waiting for her to get home from her “field trip.” She enters Maddie’s room to put away some of her clothes and that is when she learns that Springtime Meadows is good for Maddie. Trish explains how they all have chores, they all must cook dinner and have their beds made. Huge step for Maddie since Charlotte could never get her to do stuff around her house. Can we all agree that Charlotte is having second thoughts about Springtime Meadow? Well, I got one more surprise for you…
On the way home fro the 12 step call, Maddie asks Craig to make a quick stop. No it’s not Pinkberry, LOL. Our Maddie stopped at a meeting, a woman’s club. She actually speaks up and shares her 12 step call experince. More shockingly she starts to open up about her previous black out and how she has no idea what happened, even sadder, she feels she did something she may never get back.
OH EM GEE! I think we can all agree that this field trip did help Maddie! I am so proud and ready for episode four!
