Questions are raised when Jocelyn reveals Valentine experimented on Jace with demon blood. Jocelyn shares a memory with Clary from when she realized how dangerous Jace would grow to be. The demon blood would make him strong but also a threat to the mundane world.

Clary still could not believe that her mother would try to kill her own son. She is still not allowed to help with the search for Valentine’s ship. In a moment with Izzy, Clary explains that she never wanted this life. She wished to be normal again. In an emotional state Clary left the institute and ventured out to the Brooklyn Art Academy. Since finding out she was a Shadowhunter, Clary hadn’t found a moment to herself. Going to the art academy probably made her feel more herself than she had in a while.

Luke and Jocelyn found Clary at the art aceademy and tried to explain to her that it was safer to stay in the institute. Clary became frustrated and walked out. When leaving the art academy she ran into someone she never expected. Dot. Everyone assumes she is killed by Valentine because Magnus couldn’t feel her magic anymore.

Dot tricked Clary and led her into a portal that took her to Valentine’s ship. He made Dot use a spell that would make Clary believe that she was seeing a future that would make her side with Valentine. Eventually she saw through his plan and convinced Dot to help her and Jace escape.

Simon is cornered by Victor. He demanded that Simon help him find the vampire responsible for the attack that lured Jace and Valentine onto land. Simon seeks helps from Magnus to track down Camille. They do not find her but Simon learns how to own his vampire abilities and save himself for once. Our little Simon is growing up!

Once Clary disappears, Jocelyn turns to Luke for help to get her back. Luke has a stone that uses the parabatai bond to help partners track each other.  Although it is strong and it will work, it is dangerous. Jocelyn warns Alec that some have not lived through the stone’s overwhelming power. Izzy is not on board with the idea but Alec demands to use the stone anyway.

The episode ends with Jace and Clary jumping into the water and Alec simultaneously passing out due to the stone’s power. What did you think of this episode? What was your favorite part? Do you think Simon will use his abilities to impress Clary? Let us know on Twitter @PopHeartsTV!
