“The Bachelor” Week 4 Recap: Why Corn and Poop Don’t Mix

The girl’s true colors start to show on “The Bachelor” this week. From ex-girlfriends to girl fights to Nick’s little sister tagging along on a date… It all went down this week! Spoilers below!

The “Girl” Talk

Taylor and Sarah decide to approach Corrine and have a little girl talk. They didn’t approach her with the intentions of starting an argument. Instead, the girls just told her that she’s been coming off entitled and that her actions upset the other women in the house. Corrine got defensive and said she is, “not privileged” in any way. We definitely have not seen the last of Corrine and Taylor’s chat. We’re sure to pick this up next week.

Rose Ceremony #1

Later at the rose ceremony, Nick ended up giving Corrine a rose. I wasn’t surprised and it seemed like the other women weren’t either. At this point, there are only 15 women left. We have reached the halfway mark!

Nick’s Hometown

We’re finally at the point in the season where we get to travel! Chris Harrison made a special announcement this week that the women will be flying to Nick’s hometown of Waukesha, Wisconsin.

This scene is little awkward because the women are overly excited about this trip and honestly… who’s that excited to go to Wisconsin? Anyway, I don’t judge.

Danielle gets the first one-on-one date in Wisconsin. She and Nick explore the town and spend the day baking cookies, making out on wet grass, and dancing at a Chris Lane concert. I wish that was all that happened, but I’d be lying if I said it was.

While exploring the town, Nick and Danielle “spontaneously” bump into Nick’s ex girlfriend. Now we all know nothing on this show is truly spontaneous and plus, am I supposed to believe that Nick’s ex girlfriend just happens to be lurking around town with a mic connected to her?

Anyway, this scene wasn’t as awkward as it sounds. I guess Nick and his ex ended things on good terms because she had nothing but good things to say about him and Danielle said she was really nice. Ultimately, Nick and Danielle’s date went well and she ended up getting a rose.

The Group Date

This week’s Chris Soules inspired group date was probably the worst ever on “The Bachelor.” Nick took the girls to a dairy farm where they were forced to shovel cow manure.

Corrine refuses to shovel the poop and says her hand is hurting. All the girls throw some shade and again accuse her of not being there for the right reasons. I’m going to have to stand with Corrine on this one though. I wouldn’t shovel poop on a date either.

Later at the group date cocktail party, Corrine gets philosophical and compares herself to a corncob that just needs its husk peeled off. In the spirit of this weeks farm theme, I’ll let this one slide.

Raven’s Date

The second group date this week was with Raven. Nick ended up taking her to his little sister Bella’s soccer game where she met Nick’s parents.

After the game, they went roller skating with Bella and had what looked like a ton of fun! Bella and Raven got some one-on-one time and Raven earned a stamp of approval. She and Nick seem to really have a genuine connection.

After their fun day, Nick and Raven got to spend some alone time at an art museum having dinner. At dinner we truly saw a new side of Raven which had me screaming, “You go girl!” Raven got detailed about her past relationship that ended because of infidelity.

When she found out her boyfriend was cheating on her, she hopped in her car and fled to the scene where she kicked a door down and beat him with the other girl’s stiletto. Yup, our sweet southern belle is kind of a bad ass.

I thought Nick would be a little frightened after this story, but instead he gave Raven a rose and said that he feels she has a lot of potential as someone he wants to spend his life with. Raven feels like she’s already falling in love with him.

Rose Ceremony #2

Finally, this week concluded at the rose ceremony cocktail party. Corrine has a few drinks and what looks like 50 chicken nuggets and decides to approach Taylor.

She’s been feeling like Taylor has been being disrespectful towards her and wants to put a stop to it. The two sit down to talk and Taylor attempts to psychoanalyze Corrine and tells her she’s emotionally unintelligent.

Things don’t go Corrine’s way and she says she wants to punch Taylor in the face. This is where we got cut off. Will Corrine actually punch Taylor in the face? Watch next week to find out.

I’ve got to say that I am sort of siding with Corrine on this one. I feel like Taylor should just mind her own business. She’s trying to act like she’s so much more mature and knows what’s best when she’s only 23 and doesn’t really have that strong of a connection with Nick.

I personally don’t like when the women try to correct one another’s behavior. I’m always an advocate of focusing on yourself and if you really feel like another woman is crazy, then Nick is the person you should be mad at because he’s obviously keeping that other woman around. Just sayin…
