“The Bachelor” Week 6 Recap: Dropping Like Flies

This week on “The Bachelor,” women were getting sent home left and right and it’s not the women you’d expect! Keep reading for all the shocking details!

Taylor’s Revenge

We left off last week with Taylor headed to Corrine and Nick’s dinner date. This week we saw what happened when she finally barged in. Taylor looked at Corrine and said, “you lied today” then turned to Nick and said, “can we talk?” Nick excused himself from the table and went to talk to Taylor. Taylor once again tries to tell him that he’s being manipulated and lied to, then follows that up with asking him to “open his eyeballs.” He gracefully rejects her and off she goes. When he returns to the table, he kisses Corrine and tells her that his decision came from his heart and basically reassures her. Nick says he sees potential in Corrine and it’s worth exploring. Ultimately, Taylor didn’t benefit at all from her added screen time. Corrine won yet another battle.

Rose Ceremony

This week Nick decided he didn’t want to have a cocktail party before the rose ceremony. I’m sort of relieved when this happens because I don’t have to watch the women do embarrassing things. The women weren’t too happy about it though. A lot of them were depending on this time with Nick. Alexis, Josephine, and Jaimi all got sent home. Are you keeping track? That’s already four girls this episode. After the rose ceremony, Nick announced that the group will be heading to the island of St. Thomas!

Kristine got the first date in paradise this week. I was particularly excited for this date because Kristina is someone we haven’t learned much about other than the fact that she’s Russian and has a pretty accent. On this date we learned that Kristina hasn’t had the easiest past. She’s adopted and spent a majority of her childhood in an orphanage in Russia. This conversation with Kristina made everything more real for Nick. He gave her the rose and said that he’d be lucky if Kristina was the woman he got to spend his life with. Meanwhile at the house, the women get surprised with a house mom. Lorna is going to be looking after the girls and catering to their needs. This was totally an attempt by the show to make fun of Corrine but I loved it! Corrine was so hyped about Lorna’s presence and she even got her chopped cucumbers by the pool!  Later, the group date card is read and Whitney and Danielle aren’t on it. Shocking right? First of all… a second 2 on 1 date? Second of all… both are amazing girls?!

Life’s a Beach

The group date this week consisted of the women spending the day on the beach with Nick. This date just didn’t go well. It’s that time in the season where the women are feeling like they’re just not getting enough attention. After a pretty hostile volleyball game, Jasmine gets a little drunk and starts acting crazy. She randomly shoved Corrine to the ground and claims she’s being overlooked by Nick. We haven’t seen the last of her crazy.

“If Jasmine were a vegetable she’d be a turnip because she’s turned all the way up.” – Raven

Cocktail party

At the group date cocktail party, Jasmine is being eaten up inside and feels the need to confront Nick. She sits down with Nick and at first it seems to be going okay until she says, “don’t you dare overlook me.” She then proceeds to make a choking gesture and says she just wants to choke him and put him in a chokey. This moment was terrifying to watch. Jasmine was somehow channeling Ms. Trunchbull. Nick has a look on his face like, “what the hell is happening here.” Jasmine tries to save the conversation by making the choking sexual. She even puts her hands around Nick’s neck and asks him if he likes it. Wow… that was so embarrassing and hard to watch. Nick decides to send Jasmine home. So I guess he isn’t turned on by near death experiences. So far that’s five girls down…

2 on 1

Danielle and Whitney are both confused why they’re on the 2 on 1. Is it because he’s unsure about both or really sure about one and not the other? Who really knows. Both women get alone time with him and he seems to like them both. His chemistry is slightly stronger with Danielle so right then and there he gets up and sends Whitney home. Whitney takes a little jab at Danielle then accepts her fate. That’s six girls down. Later, at the dinner portion of their now 1 on 1 date, Danielle takes the opportunity to tell Nick she’s falling in love with him. Nick has this look on his face like someone just told him his pet bunny got run over. His body language lets us know that he doesn’t feel the same way about Danielle. Doesn’t he realize that Danielle is an Instagram famous goddess?! Nick says this is the second time someone tells him they’re falling in love with him and his heart feels differently. He slowly and painfully breaks up with Danielle. Nick said he wanted  it to be Danielle but it just wasn’t there. I personally think Nick is an idiot and afraid of commitment. This is almost as bad as when he broke up with Jen on paradise! Poor Danielle. Seven freaken girls down…

“I think he’s making a mistake.” – Danielle

After this date, Nick was really emotional and decides to visit the women at their hotel. He breaks down and says he doesn’t know if he can keep doing this. The girls freak out and break down as he leaves. That’s when this shocking and emotional episode ends.
