Freeform’s hit drama “The Fosters” was on pointe last night! We had breakups, make ups, self discoveries, and a lot of making out! As usual I am here to give you the rundown on all that happened and offer some of my insight. Let’s take a half-pipe dive into “Sixteen” below.

Lena
Lena had a busy week this week. After Sally Benton (guest star Pepi Sonuga) accused Monte (recurring guest star Annika Marks) of kissing her, Lena confronted Monte. Monte denies that the kiss actually happened, she states that Sally attempted to kiss her but she rebuffed it. Lena asks why she didn’t report it and Monte explained how she didn’t want to embarrass Sally by reporting the incident to the school board.
Lena has no control over the situation because Sally and her parents want Monte fired. When Lena meets with them, they tell her that they know Monte is bisexual because Sally found her on a dating website. How did she do that?
Lena has just that revelation when she sees Sally at the twins party “bumpin’ an’ grinding” with another girl that maybe Sally really did initiate that kiss. Lena confronts Sally about the truth and Sally doesn’t know what to do or say besides “please don’t tell my mom.”
Mari & Jesus
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABIES!!! What better way to spend your birthday than with a joint dance/ skateboarding party? Which can I just say, that party looked AMAZING!
Before the festivities Mari meets her abuela, Elena (recurring guest star Marlene Forte) and Ana (recurring guest star Alexandra Barreto) about having Elena & Victor (recurring guest star Tony Plana) write a letter of support of getting Gabe (guest star Brandon Quinn) off the sex offenders registry. Elena tells them that they will think about it.
That prompts Mari and Ana to go see Gabe in person to tell him the “good news”, even though nothing is set in stone. Mari leaves to go to her party and when she ask Ana if she is coming, Ana says she is gonna stay & catch up with Gabe. This is a bad idea because Gabe offers her a drink and we are to assume she took it because when Ana does show up to the party she is wasted.

Jude
Jonnor has broken up. That short sentence was very difficult to write. The reasoning behind the break-up is stressful to me.
Jude has a train ticket to finally go visit Connor (guest star Gavin Macintosh) in LA, which he is excited about… Until he receives a nude picture from Connor. A picture that confuses Jude into thinking that Connor wants to have sex. A thought that leads to Jude asking Jesus about sex and porn.
After careful thought about everything, Jude decides not to go to LA. Instead he goes to the party and pouts all night. Callie talks to him about everything that has happened, including having the person you lose your virginity to be a person that you love.
Later in the night Jude has a video call with Connor where he explains that even though he liked the picture, he’s not ready for sex. He’s not ready mostly because he doesn’t feel like the relationship is working out anymore. So my ship crashes.
Elsewhere/ Final thoughts
-Gabe brought by presents for the twins & it was beautiful!
-Ana… WHY?! You were doing so well.
-Sally… GET IT TOGETHER. Do not try to get Monte fired just because you are confused about yourself.
-WHERE WAS MIKE?!
-Brandon and Callie both had an awkward moment with there respected dates at the house, which was painful to watch.
-I love Callie and AJ a little more with everyday that passes! #Ajallie
-WHERE WAS EMMA?! WHY WAS SHE NOT AT THIS PARTY?!
-Guys. They are trying to push Lexi and Jesus on us again. :/ #TeamEmma
