I am so beyond excited for this show to finally premiere and I hope you are getting excited too! With over 65 million views on Facebook alone, I am not the only one captivated by the trailer.
The trailer has one of the best attention grabbers I have ever seen, with an opening shot of Milo Ventimiglia’s chiseled back side. Talk about an O-M-G moment! He is celebrating his birthday in none other than his birthday suit and it is great. Next up, a very pregnant Mandy Moore whose water breaks and she goes into labor. I can already tell that the love story between these two is going to be one for the books.
Next we meet Chrissy Metz’s character who is also celebrating her birthday, I think I sense a theme here… She appears to be struggling with her weight. Something tells me she’s about to break down stereotypes and barriers for plus size women in a big way. Her story looks touching and relatable. I am really looking forward to following her journey this season.

Sterling K. Brown and Justin Hartley’s characters are also celebrating their 36th birthdays and seem to be facing their own hardships. This show looks like it is going to touch on a wide variety of important topics. All while following the storylines of these characters who share the same birthday. In the trailer alone, we see everything from body image issues to finding estranged family members to facing life threatening medical emergencies.
I love shows that are able to spark conversation about hot topics and this show was able to do that with just a trailer. It’s going to be an emotional ride with these characters! This Is Us is going to be the show of the season and I can’t wait to see how this show pulls at my heart strings.
A special premiere of This Is Us is on Tuesday, September 20th at 10/9c after The Voice on NBC.
