#TrendingTuesday – Pretty Little Liars “O Brother, Where Art Thou” Recap

We’re just two episodes away from “A” officially being revealed and tonight got us one step closer with your very own invitation to Charles’ birthday party. But there’s only one condition; come alone. Jason agreed to meet Charles, but things went horribly wrong; building up to one big showdown.

After finding out that Charles had gone complete stalker-mode and embedded microchips in the girls tracking their every move, Spencer and Aria tried to come up with a way to remove the chip and remove Charles from their tracks.

Sara’s friend Claire dropped into town to catch up over lunch and Emily surprisingly got a little jealous, leading into the awkward conversation about Sara and Emily’s hot make-out sesh the night before, and how it was Sara’s first real kiss in 3 years. The conversation ended with Sara telling Emily that she is going to move out- so that they can have a real relationship. I’m sorry, but am I the only one that doesn’t trust Sara? There’s just something about her I’m not sure about.

The birthday party led the group to an abandoned arcade where Toby and Lorenzo were watching close by; and Jason not too far behind them. When Jason arrived at the arcade, Charles was just about to (finally) reveal himself when Toby and Lorenzo stepped in with guns in hand. Strangely, Toby started seeing double and seemed to be off-balance during the attack on Charles, only to find out later that he was in fact high off of Spencer’s pot gummy bears that Sabrina had left for Spencer earlier at the Grill.

Oh! Did I forget to mention…. Mike is back and looking better than ever if I might add! He was determined to see Mona for the first time since she and the liars had escaped from “The Doll House.”

Mr. D was getting Alison and himself out of Rosewood after finding a birthday invite from Charles (whom he thought had been dead for years).

Tonight’s episode concluded with Jason and Alison watching an old home video of the two of them attending their quote un-quote second cousin, or at least they were led to believe it was their second cousin, “Freddie’s.” The actual birthday boy, was Charles- which puts the puzzles pieces together as to why Charles and Ali remember not being allowed to tell their father about going to these birthday parties.

So what do you guys think? Should we trust Sara? Are you happy that Mike and Mona are finally back together? Who do you think Charles really is? Leave your comments below – and don’t forget to tune in for the final two episodes of the summer, Tuesday’s at 8/7c on ABC Family!
