The MTV VMA’s are just around the corner.
Sticking with their new tradition to host the awards show in New York, MTV is pulling out even more tricks up their sleeves.
On Wednesday, MTV announced that Bad Bunny, Camila Cabello, J Balvin, Lil Nas X, Lizzo, Rosalía and Shawn Mendes will be taking the stage on Newark, New Jersey on Monday, August 26 at 8:00 p.m. for the show.
The show will be hosted by author Sebastian Maniscalco who will help honor the industries biggest names of the evening such as: Cardi B, Drake, H.E.R., Khalid, and the Jonas Brothers.
Taylor Swift is also expected to take the stage for the evening and perform hits off of her latest album, “Lover.” The singer is also up for a whooping 10 awards for the evening.
It was also announced that Missy Elliot would be honored for the prestigious award for the evening titled the, “Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.”
For this year’s show, MTV will also have 14 gender-neutral VMA categories that can be voted on until August 15th at VMAs.MTV.com. Voting for the award for “Best New Artist” will remain open during the broadcast.
