In Young and Hungry episode 3 we find Gabi in a new work environment. Because this time after her and Josh break up they don’t easily become friends and she works for him. She now works at a diner!
Nothing is wrong with working at diner or gaining a few pounds (Josh) right? Well its all good, until you have to see your ex!!! Yolanda’s 50th birthday bash had both Gabi and Josh coming up with good lies so they wouldn’t look like losers when they saw each other.
As mentioned, Josh gained weight and totally let himself go. To avoid Gabi seeing him like that he called her to see if she would be attending Yolanda’s party. Lie number one, Gabi doesn’t want Josh to know she works at a diner so instead, tells him she works for Giada De Laurentiis. That quickly backfires when Elliott sees her at the diner while he is picking up Yolanda’s cake.
Elliott rushes home and tells Josh and he comes up with a plan to mess with Gabi, while at the same time, Josh is getting into a man corset to hide is gut! LOL!!
At the party Josh asks Gabi all about her new job. Which btw is hilarious to see Gabi babble on. When she pretends to be on the phone with Giada, Josh brings in Giada! What a stinker! Giada tells Gabi that she can not be no where near her, due to a restraining order! Giada leaves the party and Gabi calls out Josh for making her look like a fool. At that point Yolanda is irritated and yells that its time for gifts.
As Yolanda is opening up a gift from her daughter who couldn’t make it because she is overseas, Gabi and Josh continue with their bickering, Josh takes a bite of his cake and snap! A button from his shirt flies off and hits Yolanda in the face, causing the necklace from her daughter to go over the balcony. Gabi finds out Josh is fat! Again, LOL!!
Gabi decides to get the necklace to save Yolanda’s birthday but ends up dropping it all the way down! The whole gang goes down to look for it, but its no where to be found. Gabi and Josh start to argue and blame one another and Yolanda calls them both out!
She calls them both selfish and storms out of the room. Both Gabi and Josh feel really bad so together they surprise Yolanda by bringing her daughter home to her!!! Awe! Gabi and Josh mention how they worked well together and how they felt like they were friends again. Josh offers Gabi her job back at his chef, but too much surprise she says no. She needs more time. You go Gabi!
