“The Bachelorette” Week 7 Recap

Hometown dates! Yaaaas! This week is a favorite for bachelor nation. It’s right up there with fantasy suit week and the finale. So lets talk about exactly what happened on last night’s episode of “The Bachelorette.” Before I begin, I would like to apologize for missing last week’s recap. I was in the mountains with zero phone or internet service. Last week wasn’t very interesting anyway. The only thing I am happy to report is that we finally got rid of Alex A.K.A Lord Farquaad.

JOJO FLETCHER, CHASE

This week our leading lady visited four men’s hometowns. The first date took place in Highlands Ranch, Colorado with Chase. The first stop on JoJo’s visit was Chase’s house. I was really impressed by his house and you can tell JoJo was as well. Chase comes from a family of divorce, so he had his dad come over to visit with JoJo briefly before they headed to his mom’s house. Chase tells his dad that he really likes JoJo and that he doesn’t want to think about the “what ifs.” Things end on a  high note with Chase’s dad. He thinks JoJo is a great and sweet girl. At his mom’s house, JoJo got to meet the rest of Chase’s family. Chase’s mom tells JoJo that she can tell Chase is crazy about her. She really liked JoJo. At the end of their date, Chase tells JoJo that he’s falling in love with her.

JORDAN, JOJO FLETCHER

The second hometown date was with Jordan in Chico, California. The first place he took JoJo, was to his old high school. Here they see a few pictures of Jordan and his brother Aaron. When talking about Aaron, JoJo can tell that Jordan is somewhat uncomfortable. Apparently, Jordan and his famous athlete brother don’t have a good relationship. JoJo decides to drop the subject all together. Later, they head to Jordan’s parent’s house. Both his parents agree that he looks genuinely happy with JoJo. Even after a fantastic hometown date, JoJo is still worried that Jordan’s feelings could change. If you ask me, JoJo is the most nervous about Jordan because she has the strongest feelings for him. He reassures her and tells her he loves her. JoJo wants to tell him she loves him too but she remembers how bad it hurt when Ben did that to her. Smart move, JoJo.

(ABC/Michael LeGrand) ROBBY, JOJO FLETCHER

ROBBY, JOJO FLETCHER

The next date was with our boy Robby. Robby is from St. Augustine, Florida. I can’t help but like Robby. Although, I am worried that it hasn’t been enough time since his last relationship. JoJo has the same doubts. She admits that she has moments where she feels like she’s falling in love with Robby but she is concerned about his last relationship. At Robby’s family home in Jacksonville, his parents can’t help but like JoJo. His mom said that JoJo makes an incredible first impression. Even Robby’s brothers think she’ll fit in well. During a conversation between JoJo and Robby’s mom, JoJo tells her that she’s falling in love with Robby and that she has never said that to anyone. Then JoJo asks Robby’s mom if she thinks he’s ready to be engaged. She puts JoJo’s mind at ease and JoJo feels better about everything. Later in the evening, Robby’s mom tells Robby that there have been rumors going around saying that Robby broke up with his ex just to go on the show and that he isn’t there for the right reasons. Apparently the rumors were started by his ex girlfriend’s roommate. He gets extremely upset by this and decides to discuss it with JoJo right away. After hearing what Robby has to say, a frustrated JoJo repeatedly asks him to be honest with her. He denies everything and assures her that he is telling the truth. She’s afraid but tells him that she trusts him. He promises that he won’t disappoint her. “I am beyond excited for our future together.” – Robby

(ABC/Felicia Graham) JOJO FLETCHER, LUKE

(ABC/Felicia Graham)
JOJO FLETCHER, LUKE

The last date was with Luke in Burnet, Texas. JoJo is also from Texas and she wouldn’t let us forget it. She kept saying it felt good to be back in Texas. The first stop was at Luke’s parent’s house. JoJo was expecting to meet his family and a few friends but instead she walked in and saw a full on block party. Apparently he felt the need to invite fifty of his closest friends. JoJo did a good job of fitting in and Luke couldn’t have been happier. Luke ends dinner a little early to surprise JoJo. He takes her on a horseback ride during sunset. They had a really intimate moment and Luke told JoJo that his heart is hers.  “I want us.” – Luke

At the rose ceremony, a very emotional JoJo just couldn’t decide who was going to go home. During an interview she said she was thinking of sending Luke home. Before the rose ceremony actually began, Luke asked to speak to JoJo. He said he needed to tell her that he was in love with her. She told him that she was glad he told her that. Now our girl JoJo really didn’t know what to do. She cried a lot and that’s where the episode ended. To be continued…

I’m personally shocked she was planning to send Luke home. I thought it was pretty evident that she had the least amount of feelings for Chase. I’m glad Luke sharing his feelings made JoJo think twice about sending him home. I can’t wait to see what happens next week.
