A Look Back: Top “Gilmore Girls” Moments

This week everyone is gearing up for the moment we have been waiting almost a decade for… “Gilmore Girls” is back!

Lorelai and Rory Gilmore will make their way into our homes as they had 154 times from 2000-2007. It’s hard to pick only seven of the most memorable moments from seven years of laughs, tears, break-ups, make-ups, graduations, marriages and everything in between, but here we go!

WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD

Number 7- Rory’s College Acceptance Letters

When Rory opened her mailbox to find she had a bunch of “big” envelopes, which included one acceptance to Harvard and one to her grandfathers alma mater Yale.

Number 6- Paris. Yes, Just Paris

How could we possibly choose just one of her crazy, frantic, moments.  She was the enemy, turned frienemy turned friend then best friend. She always manages to be a part of Rory’s life and we have to love her relentless attitude!

Number 5- When Rory and Jess Kiss at Sookie’s Wedding

In the season 2 finale, Jess moves back to Stars Hollow, then shows up unannounced to Sookie’s wedding, where Rory unexpectedly plants a kiss on him before saying “Don’t say a word” then running off. It was only the beginning of these two love birds!

Number 4- Rory Falls in Love … With Dean … And He Breaks Her Heart

We have a love hate relationship with Dean. He was a great boyfriend for Rory in high school, but I think he just wasn’t ready for her. She is a go-getter and I think he was just stuck — but don’t get me wrong, I loved all of there cute moments together and friend with Rory when he broke up with her.

Number 3- Logan and Rory’s Relationship

You have to give credit to Logan. He spotted something he wanted (Rory) and went for it — although he seemed to do that with his career too. While I was skeptical of Logan at the beginning, he won me over quickly. He was just the right amount of class, sass and ass. I was sad when it didn’t work out.

Number 2- When Luke and Lorelai Finally Kiss

The Dragonfly Inn dry run was a night of all night, for both Rory and Lorelai. It was the night both mother and daughter took relationships to the next level. For Lorelai, her friendly relationship with Luke took a turn when the two FINALLY kissed!!!

and drumroll please… The most memorable moment on “Gilmore Girls” was…

Number 1- Lorelai and Rory’s Relationship

Did you really think I was only going to pick one moment from these two? How can you!?! From early morning coffee runs to Luke’s to take out and movie nights to being each other’s allies at Friday night dinners. Their quick wit pulled you in the moment you started watching.

The mother-daughter relationship they had could never be broken. They are like peanut butter and jelly! It’s the same that many mother and daughters around the world can related to. I have heard time after time “I love that show because my mom and I have that same relationship.”

I do have to say I hated season six. I couldn’t not stand the two of them not speaking to each other. It ripped at my heartstrings. So when they reunited I cried tears of joy!!
