If you’re like us, you have been singing to “Cheated Better,” “Lie to My Mama” and “Same Tattoo” from country singer, Alexandria Corn. However, lately the Nashville resident has been teasing content on her social media about her alter-ego, ACORN. We have to admit this alter-ego looks like a good time!
ACORN will be the transition to the pop scene for Alexandria Corn. While most people have been trying to keep busy during the 2020 pandemic, Corn has been very busy. She channeled her creativity into her music and has been working on this secret project throughout the pandemic.
Alexandria Corn is no stranger to pop music, as she accepted the Golden Ticket onto American Idol years ago, with her rendition of Lady Gaga’s You & I and Nat King Cole L-O-V-E.
Corn has not yet released the name of her first single off of the ACORN EP, but she does state that it is “a bit more expressive and a bit more explicit” than her past Country songs. We got an exclusive sneak listen of the first single off the EP. From the first few seconds we were completely into the bop. The beat is HOT! The lyrics are unapologetic and honest, like, “This is who I am and this is who you are too.” The beat and lyrics gave us the vibes if Dua Lipa and Halsey were to come together.
Speaking of power women, Corn stated this is her first project that is completely female driven. Working with Nashville’s very own, (Pop Songwriter and producer), Khiana Meyer.
