This weeks episode of “Baby Daddy” began with Sam moving out of the apartment. She has also decided to leave her job at the bar as things have become just a little too awkward.
Riley is excited to share the news that their old high school’s athletic department has decided to give her a spot in the coveted hall of athletes and give her the title of “athlete of the year.” Bonnie shares the news that Danny too has been selected to be athlete of the year. Meanwhile, Ben is coming clean about something he’s been holding in a for a long time. Ben tells Bonnie that he never actually received his high school diploma.
Danny and Riley bump into each other while filling up their cases at the high school. They find out that they are actually sharing the “athlete of the year” title with each other and a few other people. Riley is upset that her case is placed by the girls bathroom and feels she is being treated unfairly because she’s a woman. Then she sees a case right across from her that is honoring Sam, who was head cheerleader in high school.
Ben decides he wants to be a better role model for his daughter Emma so he returns to school with Tucker to take the biology final that he just forgot to take in high school. Tucker sees a teacher that he finds attractive so he introduces himself as a new teacher at the school. Ben surprisingly bumps into Bonnie at school, only to find out that she too never actually graduated high school. Apparently she needs to take the biology final too.
While Sam is picking up the last of her belongings from the apartment she bumps into Riley in the hallway. Both the girls open up about their feelings towards each other, only to discover that they both felt bullied by the other in high school. They both apologize to each other and Riley invites Sam in for some wine. The girls instantly begin bonding about their mutual disgust with Danny and the fact that his trophy case is up front while theirs are by the bathroom. Danny witnesses this friendship taking place and freaks out.
Ben and Bonnie convince the biology teacher (guest star Jamie-Lynn Sigler) to let them take the final they never took. Ms. Gilcrest remembers Ben from when he was a student there and decides to give them only one day to study for the final. Meanwhile, Tucker is carrying on his charade of pretending to be a new teacher. Ben and Bonnie are extremely stressed about possibly not passing the final. Bonnie suggests that maybe they should consider cheating but Ben wants to do this the right way. Bonnie ends up blackmailing Tucker into helping her cheat.
Danny asks Ben for advice about Same and Riley’s new friendship and Ben tells him that this is BAD and that he needs to find away to break it up. Just outside the apartment, Riley and Sam got drunk and stole Danny’s trophy case from the school.
Tucker takes advantage of his new “position” as a teacher and sneaks in to the biology classroom to get the answer key for Bonnie. Ben comes in early to ask Ms. Gilcrest for some help studying before the test. Considering the bad reputation he had before, she assumes he’s up to no good. Ben apologizes for being a trouble maker in HS and explains that he’s not that guy anymore because he’s a father now. She says that she always found him slightly charming and that he’s only improving with age. Ms. Gilcrest is definitely flirting with Ben and they end up kissing. She instantly apologizes but Ben goes in for another kiss.
Riley and Sam wake up extremely hungover and full of regret about stealing Danny’s trophy case. They decide to try and take it back to school without anyone seeing. While talking in the hallway, the girls bump into Danny who explains to them that he doesn’t think it’s fair that his trophy case was put up front so he made the coach switch his with one of theirs. The girls begin arguing about which one of their cases should replace his. This is exactly what Danny hoped would happen when he came up with this lie.
Ms. Gilcrest noticed that someone stole the answer key. She thinks Ben stole it while they were kissing so she changed the order of the questions on the test just to be sure. This is bad news for Bonnie because she’s the one who planned to cheat. Ms. Gilcrest feels betrayed by Ben but says the truth will reveal itself in his final score. Tucker attempts to get the new answer key for Bonnie but fails.
Riley and Sam find out that Danny lied to them to get them to fight so they steal his hockey sick and decide to cut it in half. Danny catches them and comes clean. He admits that he was terrified they would both turn against him (which they did). Danny apologizes and says that this time he really requested their trophy cases get put up front. Riley and Sam feel guilty because they already cut his hockey stick in half. Ben ends up scoring a 69 on the final which proves to Ms. Gilcrest that he didn’t cheat. She apologizes and Ben is over joyed because he finally graduated HS.
