Reason #1: The Premise

The show revolves around Kirsten Clark (Emma Ishta), a 20-something who suffers from temporal dysplasia, a disease that inhibits emotions who gets recruited into a top secret government agency to help solve murders by being “stitched” into the memories of the recently deceased victims or suspects.

The premise is highly original. I have never seen a story like this before be portrayed on television. The way that the mysteries get solved and the mysteries themselves are very fun, twisty, and smart. The deeper mythology that the show slowly started implementing makes it a show that is not just fun for viewers but it must be fun for the actors.

Reason #2: The Cast

The cast is phenomenal! Emma Ishta leads the cast as Kirsten, who has a tough job of not playing emotion because of the temporal dysplasia. Kirsten only begins to feel things while in the stitches because they are emotions that are in the victims subconscious. Yet we see through out the season that Kirsten might be able to regain emotion. Kyle Harris joins her as Cameron, a neuroscientist who works for the program & just happens to develop feelings for Kirsten. Ritesh Rajan plays Linus, Cameron’s best friend who is a bioelectrical engineer and technical communications for Stitchers program. Allison Scagliotti plays Kirsten’s roommate and friend who is a brilliant hacker and computer analyst who works for the program. Damon Dayoub becomes a main cast member this season after recurring last season as Det. Fisher who is a LAPD officer who gets recruited into the Stitchers program. And lastly Salli Richardson-Whitfield who rounds out the cast by playing Maggie Baptiste, a former CIA assassin and the leader of the Stitchers program.

Each cast member bring a great energy to the show. They know how to play all angle of drama and humor. I can’t wait to see what season 2 has in store for them.

Reason #3: #Camus and #Camsten ships

The two main ships on the show are that of Camus (Camille and Linus) and Camsten (Cameron and Kirsten). One is canon and one is not. Camus is literally one of the cutest baby scientist couples on television (besides the ultimate OTP baby scientist FitzSimmons from ABC’s Marvel’s Agent of Shield.) Camus will make you blush in almost every scene. THEY ARE ADORABLE!
Now Camsten is a different story. They are complicated. They have moment of joy and love but they are still very “Will they? Won’t they?” Hopefully this new season makes them canon because they are so cute! Cameron is such a lovesick puppy and it’s so cute. Kirsten needs to realize her love for him and like now!
