Olivia DeRamus Launches RESTLESS Network App, Encourages Females to Connect

While everyone is learning to stay at home and socially distancing themselves it’s important to to also stay mentally safe.

Let’s be honest, we’ve all been struggling while adjusting to a new normal of staying home and socially distancing ourselves from our friends, families, and favorite activities. You’ve likely been living in sweat pants, binge watching shows, and getting lost on TikTok during this time. While those are all great pass times, it’s also important that you check in on your mental health, and make sure you’re staying mentally safe. Lucky for you, we have the perfect site for you to virtually visit. And bonus, you can keep your sweat pants on!

Recently launched, RESTLESS offers a unique and secure space online to connect and stay mentally safe. Founded by, Olivia DeRamus, the app offers users a place to heal, grow and find community, which I think is something all of us have been in the need for since we’ve been quarantined.

The app encourages women to connect, find resources and discuss taboo topics such as #MeToo, Mental Health, Sex and Relationships and Work and Money. In addition, the site also shares monthly horoscopes so you can see what’s in the stars for you and your life, and no we’re not just talking about the prediction of your next quarantine snack.

Olivia shared with us about creating the app for females, “Because we know that the female experience can at times be incredibly isolating, we created the Restless Network app to be a new kind of social network, where women can confide in each other in a safe and supportive environment, as well as access resources on mental health, #metoo, sex & relationships, and work & money.”

Like many of us right now, uncertain about the changing climate, economy, and health around us… Olivia too was restless.

Olivia DeRamus from RESTLESS

She felt silenced for years after being sexually assaulted at the age of 19, (she shares her story on RESTLESS) and out of her silence she grew more and more restless and in 2019 decided to launch the women’s editorial platform RESTLESS

Olivia shared with Pop Hearts TV, “When I was going through my own #metoo moment, I had a lot of unanswered questions and was unable to safely talk about what was happening to me. The traditional magazines and websites that I had previously relied on for advice didn’t have content that applied to my experiences. They couldn’t tell me what to expect when reporting, or any of the other questions I was facing.”

Something we all face one time or another is having a space safe to ask for help. Social media has made it easier, but let’s keep it real, sometimes you can find yourself in a dark hole of negativity while scrolling on Instagram.

Olivia understood this, as she shared her experience, “Similarly, social media wasn’t a safe space for me to ask for help. Ever since, I really wanted to create something that would fix this for others going through similar experiences, and I think this app finally has.”

Thank you to Olivia DeRamus for speaking to us about RESTLESS and sharing your story with us!
