Reece Caddell shows off her comedic timing in Nickelodeon’s 90’s revival sketch comedy series All That. But this young star isn’t new to the television world. At just 5 years old, Reece starred in HBO’s Hello Ladies and has continued to work on shows like ABC’s Fresh Off The Boat and Disney Channel’s Coop and Cami Ask the World.
The 13-year-old actress describes All That as SNL for kids. “The sketch series highlights all the things you wish would happen in real life but instead you get to watch them on TV,” says Reece. “You watch people get hit with a bunch of different foods or filing cabinets or even jellyfish.”
All That is one of Reece’s favorite roles because of the variety it offers. “One week you could be playing a baby and the next week you could be playing a person who shares a little bit too much information,” says Reece.
The Denver, Colorado native, moved to Los Angeles when she was just 8 years old.“When we first came out to LA, there was a writers strike, so no new content was being made. We just relocated here for the purpose of acting and then there were no auditions anywhere,” explains Reece.
Reece and her sisters decided to make their own content and started their YouTube channel called 3 Ginger Sisters. “We started filming skits, sketches, vlogs, travel stuff and just having fun as a family,” says Reece.
As for her favorite things to do when she isn’t on set, Reece says she enjoys playing video games, drawing, painting and swimming. “But I also love hanging out with my cast mates off the set when we aren’t filming.”
Reece is passionate about the organization Compassion International which works to connect kids all around the world who are living in poverty with people who can support their educational, nutritional and general everyday needs. Her family has been supporting a girl in the Philippines for 14 years, before Reece was born. “We write letters and talk to each other about our days. I really hope we can do more for the organization as we get older.”
As for future plans, Reece has big goals and knows what she wants. “It would be a dream to work with Tom Cruise and one day work on Saturday Night Live.” This is only the beginning for the talented young star and we can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next.
