“The Bachelor” Finale Recap: The Most Dramatic Finale Ever

Every season Chris Harrison lies and tells us it’s going to be “the most dramatic finale ever!” Well this time, it wasn’t a lie. Keep reading to find out exactly what i’m talking about.

Girls Meet The Luyendyks

Arie’s family seemed to really like both the girls. They feel Lauren is really genuine and she obviously really cares for Arie but there is a general consensus that Becca would be the better choice. Their opinion of the girls really weighs on Arie. He’s basically thinking Becca’s it going into the final one-on-ones.

Lauren

Arie’s plan is to try and enjoy this date even though he’s basically decided Becca’s the one. Lauren seems a lot more comfortable and open on this date and it has Arie feeling a lot more confident about their relationship. Lauren tells him that she’s not scared at all anymore and she gives him detailed reasons why she loves him. They spend the date talking about their futures together and how they see it.
“I don’t think Arie would let me say all those things and talk about a future together all day if he knew he has going to pick Becca.” – Lauren
“If I had to propose this second it would be Lauren.” – Arie

Becca

Becca and Arie’s date goes well as always. Going into this date he was just thinking about Lauren but now he remembers why he loves Becca. He lets Becca know that he is still conflicted. Now he’s realizing that Becca could also be his wife.

The Breakup and Proposal

Lauren gets out the limo first. Anyone that’s watched a season of “The Bachelor” knows that’s not a good sign. Lauren makes the long journey down to where Arie is standing and gives her speech about how much she loves him and he breaks her heart and sends her home. I was devastated for Lauren. Why did Arie let her do all of that? You don’t do that to someone you care about. Before she leaves she tells him she still loves him and he says it back. Obviously this means he proposes to Becca. Both the breakup and the proposal were emotionless. Arie didn’t shed a tear. I just want to see the guy cry…

The Most Dramatic Finale

After airing, Arie starts feeling like he made a mistake. He says all he thinks about is Lauren. He’s decided he wants to breakup with Becca and potentially reconcile things with Lauren. He and Becca meet in Los Angeles at a house they’re supposed to stay and vacation in together. Instead of a fun carefree vacation, Becca gets dumped and she is pissed. Yet again, Arie was emotionless. Becca was sobbing and broken but Arie seemed almost calm and collected. This was a truly unbelievable ending.
