“Pretty Little Liar” Flash Forward 5 Years in Winter Premiere: 5 Things To Look Forward To

We are only one week away from the Liar’s return to Rosewood, Tuesday, January 19 at 8pm. EST/PST, which we have been anticipating for the last 20 weeks, but who’s counting?? As we found out in the PLL special November 18th, all of the girls have gone through transformations physically and mentally. But they’re not the only aspect of the show to get a surprising upgrade…

Radley Sanitarium, the mental institution, where they girls spent an unfortunate amount of time in has now become a hotel… Could you see yourself checking in? Anyhow, I’m breaking down the five things I am looking forward to the most with this time jump… Let’s get started!

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS - “Pretty Little Liars” premieres January 12 at 8/7c on Freeform, the new name for ABC Family. (ABC Family)

Number 5:
Hanna is engaged!? Like to who? And why are she and Caleb not together? But did you see that ring?! OK, so we know his name is Jordan and he is played by Australian actor, David Coussins. This kind of made me upset at first, but Hanna seems to be living the life in the fashion industry and I can’t help but be a little jealous! So, maybe Caleb just couldn’t hang with this jet-setting girl Hanna has become. I feel like so many people were fans of Haleb. I kind of hope the writers lead us to hate this new guy (HA!). Fingers crossed Caleb comes swooping in to protect Hanna, just like he has in every other season, and she can’t help but remember the love they had for each other.

Number 4:
Emily apparently has to secrets that will be revealed in 6B. One of the secrets exposes the other — but when she returns from California she continues to lie to her friends about things — and this is when the girl’s are questioning each other and their loyalties. Emily also dropped out of Pepperdine after her father passed away. Emotionally, I’m not sure Emily can’t take many more surprises in her life and I’m not sure she is ready to come back to Rosewood. I think these last five years might have been the most rough on Emily.

Number 3:
Ezria. So we know that Ezra is now a writer and Aria is in the book business, so why is this not a match made in perfect library heaven? JK. Ezra has some pretty deep dark secrets that will be revealed in 6B. As we learned in the PLL special, he also has the most baggage than any other character. It also seems as though he had an emotional connection to Nicole, who he accompanied to South America for Habitat for Humanity, until something is “taken away from him quickly and very violently.” R.I.P. Nicole??

Aria also meets a new love interest while at work, Liam. We’ve only had a sprinkling of guys for Aria in all six season, so I’m excited to see her with this Liam fella , even though I am a huge fan of Ezria. Besides, who wouldn’t want to make out with their English teacher in a bar bathroom?

Number 2:
The title to 6×12 is Charlotte’s Web. Interesting, right? Is she potentially going to have these girls wrapped around in her web again? She can fake being sane all she wants, clearly this girl has some loose screws to do everything that she has done in the past. I just don’t think you can go from personally screwing with these girls lives for years and then stop completely at the flip of a switch. Charlotte has something up her sleeve, and I think she will continue to show her true colors in the upcoming season.

Number 1:
The number one thing I am looking forward to finding out this season… Why are the girls being tormented again? I thought this was over? Is there UBER A? Like what the heck? I need to know and I need to know NOW! I know many people are speculating that it could be Aria after she darts out of Rosewood and back to Boston too quickly, but I’m just not completely sold on Aria being the Uber A after everything that went on last season. I think her timing was just off and no need to speculate — YET! They said we haven’t seen anything yet, and this season is bigger and better than ever, with surprising twists and turns that will keep us wondering just like the past seasons have.

Well, that’s all I’ve got! Let me know what your top favorite 5 things you are looking forward to seeing in Season 6B! Tweet me! Don’t forget to tune in for Pretty Little Liars 8pm EST/PST only on Freeform.
